The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show will have over 1,300 boats on display, 1,000 exhibitors and is expected to attract more than 100,000 people to the five-day event, making this the largest in-water boat show in the world.
Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst said Riviera has had a strong presence at the prestigious Fort Lauderdale show for decades.
“Our motor yachts are sought after around the world for their blue-water heritage, supreme luxury and built-to-last quality,” Mr Longhurst said.
“Our spectacular display, the largest for Riviera in the Americas, will provide the opportunity for visitors to fully appreciate the exceptional quality of our range; the finest yachts we have built over the past 45 years and all in one convenient location.
“The Fort Lauderdale show gives our team the opportunity to demonstrate the amazing ease of boating that we have created, which is now being enjoyed by more than 6,200 Riviera owners around the world.”
Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst describes the new Sports Express as: “Amazingly versatile. You get so much with the Sports Express. You’ll love the new boarding platform design that lowers to become your own sea deck. There is a fully equipped alfresco barbecue centre across the transom, plus a bar and meals centre on the sports deck and the main galley. The hose-out sports deck is a superb lounging and dining space with its own TV and air-conditioning. The forward sun deck boasts a triple sun lounge with a separate forward-facing lounge with a fold-out table. You will want to stay out overnight – or longer – as the luxurious accommodation deck has a master stateroom, guest cabin, bathroom, toilet, separate full-size shower, TV, lounge-dining area and the main galley.” Mr Longhurst said.
Propulsion is a choice of twin diesel Volvo Penta IPS 600s rated at 440hp or IPS 650s rated at 480hp each that will deliver over 30 knots at WOT to get you there and back effortlessly and economically. Low-speed manoeuvrability is exceptional, courtesy of joystick steering.
