According to Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst, the Series II models represent a holistic refinement of these legendary long-range motor yachts. “Our Riviera Sports Motor Yacht concept was first launched in 2018, answering the demand for a luxurious, blue-water motor yacht that excelled in water sports from fishing and scuba diving, to kayaking and paddleboarding.
“That attraction is stronger than ever and today our Riviera Sports Motor Yacht Collection has grown to six exceptional models from 46 to 72 feet, with more than 150 yachts now cruising the great waterways of the world.
“Feedback from our worldwide family of Riviera owners has helped to influence our in-house team of award-winning design engineers to undertake a holistic refinement approach to the Series II models. The exterior and interior review has created a new aesthetic that is both contemporary and timeless. Additionally, proven easy technology innovations have been incorporated that further enhance the pleasure of boating with Riviera.
Both the 64 and 72 Series II models are now even more functional, more luxurious and more enjoyable; delivering exhilarating sports performance and blue-water capability that have positioned the Riviera Sports Motor Yacht in a league of its own.”
The large, open cockpit of the 72 Sports Motor Yacht Series II is ideal for all water sports, including sport fishing, where the crew has plenty of space to work and your guests have the best seat in the house on the luxury alfresco deck.
Riviera’s Sports Motor Yacht concept set the benchmark for long-range adventures enjoyed in absolute luxury. These uniquely specified craft have it all: walk-around side decks, foredeck lounge and entertaining, all-weather alfresco deck, and a luxurious saloon with an internal staircase to a fully enclosed air-conditioned flybridge with a state-of-the-art helm. Magnificent accommodation includes a choice of three or four staterooms, ensuite bathrooms, an opulent full-beam master suite and versatile utility room or crew cabin. Engineering excellence and sports performance ensures a smooth, quiet and efficient ride across varying speeds and a range of offshore conditions. And of course, a wide, open cockpit enabled all manner of water sports action.
Now the 64 and 72 Sports Motor Yacht Series II models refine all these essentials to set a new benchmark for excellence.
The 72 Sports Motor Yacht Series II is even more luxurious, delivering exhilarating performance with blue-water capability.
Welcome Aboard
Step easily from the dock onto the boarding platform and enter the cockpit via the port or starboard transom doors. At anchor, these doors open out and lock flush against the transom, effectively extending the already generous cockpit space. As well as an excellent platform for water sports, the cockpit also doubles as an easy entertaining area with a barbecue and wet bar starboard of the teak steps leading up to the alfresco deck. A large, insulated freezer is located portside.
A Swim Platform with Steps
An option on the 72 Series II is a very clever boarding platform, designed by Riviera, that articulates the hydraulic swim platform into steps that can be lowered below the water or raised above for offshore running or to match the height of a fixed marina or quay.

The 72 SMY Series II is created for adventure just as much as for relaxation. From the open cockpit with a barbecue centre, the thrill of landing a prize catch, to the optional articulating boarding platform. The choice is all yours.
Fabulous Alfresco
The alfresco deck is the entertaining and dining centre of the 64 and 72 Series II yachts. A beautiful space offering privacy and protection from the weather, the alfresco deck effectively increases the saloon-level living area by a third.
The all-weather lounges are supremely comfortable and feature insulated under-seat storage. There’s refrigeration for refreshments and an LED Smart TV that folds down from the headliner for those moments that must be seen and shared live.
Day or night, you’ll love relaxing and entertaining family and friends on the alfresco deck.
From sun-kissed breakfasts to sunset cocktails, the alfresco deck of the 64 Sports Motor Yacht is a seamless extension of the saloon and galley creating your all-day and all-seasons grand relaxation or entertainment hub.
Open the saloon door and awning window; both are engineered for the highest strength from tinted and toughened glass, framed in polished stainless steel. Now the alfresco deck flows into the saloon creating one grand living and entertaining space.
The U-shaped galley of the 64 and 72 Series II yachts is an inspiring space, superbly equipped with premium appliances beautifully integrated into handcrafted timber joinery. A three-element induction cooktop with removable potholders is complemented by a combination oven/microwave with an integrated grill. Solid surface waterfall benchtops, ample storage, pull-out pantry, rangehood, one-and-a-quarter sink with an inline water filter and a dishwasher round out a stylish galley.
Extended time aboard demands appropriate refrigeration which is why the galley on the 64 Series II has a full-height refrigerator to starboard with two freezer drawers below, and two additional fridge drawers opposite alongside a wine cooler. Refrigeration on the 72 Series II includes three double-drawer refrigeration/freezer units, each with individual drawers programmable as either fridge or freezer, as well as a large wine cooler located in the companionway of the accommodation deck.
The 64 SMY designer galley is perfectly located for entertaining and dining on the alfresco deck or in the saloon.
Adjacent to the galley is the impressive timber-lined staircase that allows easy access to the flybridge. Forward of the galley to starboard is an L-shaped leather dining lounge with a handcrafted solid timber folding table mounted on polished stainless-steel pedestals. A matching sofa opposite completes this stylish saloon setting. Lower the electric blinds, raise the LED Smart TV at the press of a button and now the saloon becomes a cinema room with a premium sound system.
In true motor yacht style, the saloon features a very practical portside door for quick and easy access to the forward deck; access to the side deck to tend to mooring lines; or simply to allow a cool breeze to flow through the saloon at anchor.
Step inside the reimagined 72 Sports Motor Yacht saloon and galley, where seamless luxury and functional elegance flow as one expansive living, dining and relaxation space.
Readily accessed from the portside door of the saloon, the forward deck is where most owners choose to securely store their tender which can be easily launched and retrieved courtesy of a low-profile boom davit.
The U-shaped lounge setting* comfortably seats up to eight guests and with the tender launched this becomes another perfect entertaining or relaxation area, ideal for a long brunch or sunset drinks.
* Available as an option on the 64 Series II

Sensational Flybridge
The fully enclosed flybridge of the 64 and 72 Series II models is spacious and serene. Commanding views of the water are enhanced by an extremely quiet ride, especially when these exceptional craft are in full flight. The aesthetic is both contemporary and timeless with saloon-level luxury. A plush L-shaped lounge with a matching ottoman coffee table sits opposite a large LED Smart TV. For added convenience, a timber companion table folds out from the aft seat base and is easily stowed when not in use. There’s a drawer fridge for refreshments as well as a fold-out double bed to provide additional accommodation for overnight guests or crew on overnight passages.

An optional fold-out double bed provides additional accommodation for overnight guests or crew on overnight passages.
All-Seasons Flybridge Aft Deck
On both the 64 and 72 Series II, the flybridge interior opens and flows out to an aft deck reflecting the same grand liveability of the saloon below. An extended hardtop provides another all-weather space easily enclosed with Riviera’s high-quality clears or breezeway mesh.
At anchor, this is a splendid private retreat or boutique entertaining area complete with an L-shaped lounge, a folding timber table, wet bar, stainless steel fridge*, sink and solid surface benchtop.
To assist the skipper, the aft deck has a joystick control station with excellent visibility for precise and easy docking or sport fishing.
* Additional icemaker on the 72 Series II
In similar fashion to the saloon, the flybridge aft deck of the 72 SMY Series II opens out to the aft deck. An extended hardtop gives you another all-weather space.
Commanding Helm
The interior forward helm of the 64 and 72 Series II is state-of-the-art, featuring touch-screen navigation and operation technology all designed to make boating even easier and more pleasurable. Fingertip control and outstanding visibility are enjoyed through the engineered curved glass windscreen. Captain and companion chairs are fully adjustable and deeply comfortable with the added luxury of hand-stitched leather. Guests are invited to join the skipper whilst underway and enjoy commanding views from the starboard companion lounge.
Third Helm Chair Option
Both the 64 and 72 Series II have the option of replacing the starboard companion lounge with a third helm chair.
Easy Joystick Control
The Twin Disc Express Positioning System (EPS) is a sophisticated GPS interface linking port and starboard engines with powerful hydraulic thrusters mounted on the bow and stern. The EPS system proportionally controls propeller and thruster speeds, enabling the skipper to maintain station in a wide range of conditions and respond instantly to changes in wind and current.
The priceless feeling of being in charge of an exquisitely crafted piece of machinery, in harmony and performing precisely as it should, is something you can experience every time you take the helm of the 64 SMY Series II.
Three or Four Staterooms, Three Bathrooms*
Both the 64 and 72 Series II yachts enable owners to choose the accommodation layout that best suits their boating life. Both the three and four-stateroom designs feature a full-beam master suite, three bathrooms* and the choice of a utility room or crew cabin.
* 64 Series II – three or four staterooms and three bathrooms
* 72 Series II – three or four staterooms and four bathrooms; 4th bathroom is a separate day head accessed via stairs leading down from the alfresco deck.

Magnificent Master Stateroom
First impressions of the full-beam master stateroom are spacious, stylish and luxurious. Tinted hull windows and opening ports welcome an abundance of soft natural light and fresh air to the master with its large walk-around island bed and soft plush carpeting underfoot.
Unpacking is easy with ‘his’ and ‘hers’ cedar-lined hanging lockers complete with shoe shelves and ample drawer storage in the handcrafted cabinetry.
Other luxuries include reverse-cycle air-conditioning, feature headboard, bedside tables, a flush-mounted large LED Smart TV with soundbar and a thoughtful Riviera extra: a safe for valuables.

Crew Cabin or Utility Room?
The crew cabin/utility room can be optioned to suit an owner’s personal needs.
The crew cabin option features the high level of appointments you enjoy with Riviera; a separate entrance*, air-conditioning, single berth bed, storage locker, opening porthole, shower, head and vanity.
Using this space as a utility room is a popular option as it keeps wet and sandy feet out of the yacht’s interior; fishing, diving and water sports equipment can all be neatly stored away below deck.
* 64 Series II accessed via engine room hatch in the alfresco deck or through the walk-in wardrobe of the master stateroom.
* 72 Series II entry adjacent to day head – accessed via portside steps on the alfresco deck.
Pack a Little Lighter
The 64 Series II has a laundry station* located in the crew cabin/utility room with a separate washing machine and dryer, providing an efficient solution to all the fresh laundry needs of everyone on board.
* 72 Series II laundry station located at the base of the stairs adjacent to the day head.
The utility room of the 64 SMY can be personalised to suit each owners’ particular needs; ideal as a laundry, crew cabin, or for storing fishing, diving and other water sports equipment.
From the alfresco deck of the 72 SMY, take the portside door down the steps to the laundry, day head and adjacent crew cabin or utility room. If a crew cabin is not required, the utility room can be personalised to suit each owner’s individual needs.
Innovative Technology
Both the 64 and 72 Series II offer an array of options and inclusions to make boating easier, including Sentinel – remote systems monitoring, control and alerts; Praxis Composite Solar charging technology; Humphree Fins or Seakeeper 18 stabilisation; the Starlink internet system and much more.
