Paul Crittenden’s entry, titled Happiness, records a special moment in time that mere words alone cannot express. The Riviera 4800 Sport Yacht may be named Champagne Fridays, but it didn’t matter which day this photo was taken because it is our ‘champagne shot’ of the month. Set against the backdrop of a wispy cloud formation, the 4800 Sport Yacht assumes a power pose while on its tranquil mooring at Tassells Cove off Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. “This was a spur-of-the-moment shot whilst taking our tender for a run,” says Paul.
Capturing a departure that is tinged with a reluctant farewell, this photo, titled Exiting Heaven, is also bursting with beauty and excitement for the journey ahead. Submitted by Troy Hawking, it features Exit Strategy, a Riviera 40 Open Flybridge, as she heads seaward from a stop-over at Lady Musgrave Island on a three-day adventure north along the Queensland coast. The destination was another famed boating haven, Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays.
When there’s excitement aboard Rum Jungle, LoLo isn’t far behind. Thanks to Tracey Pasco for submitting this photo titled Fishing with LoLo taken as Rum Jungle, a Riviera 40 Flybridge, was out on Victoria’s Port Phillip Bay. “When a rod screams, LoLo has to be up front checking out the action,” says Tracey.
It was an adventure of a different kind for Bella Vita, a Riviera 3600 Sport Yacht, as she was trucked from Perth in Western Australia to Glenelg in South Australia across the vast expanse of the Nullarbor Plain. Sammy Bevis submitted this photo, which is titled Crossing the Nullarbor.
Thanks to Phil Shelton for submitting this photo, titled Relaxing at Longreach, capturing an idyllic scene aboard Aila, a Riviera 40 Platinum, at Longreach Bay, Rottnest Island, off Perth. “A beautiful day at Rottnest on our Riviera,” says Phil, although the photo clearly speaks for itself.
Another perfect sunrise on glassy water aboard Villa Riviera, 37 Flybridge, as she was moored at Catalina Island off the Californian coast. Thanks to Bill and Stephanie South for submitting this entry, titled Good Morning Catalina. With a beautiful start like this, it was little wonder they were ‘looking forward to what the rest of the day will bring’.
