Owners cheered the arrival of the exceptional new Riviera 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition at an exclusive world premiere launch event on the Gold Coast.

There’s nothing more inspiring than the first glimpse of the Riviera 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition cruising out of the sunset towards you — especially if you are an expectant owner anxiously awaiting its arrival at a luxurious floating fine-dining venue anchored in the Broadwater on Australia’s Gold Coast.
A select group of owners and their families were invited to the exclusive world premiere preview of the flagship 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition, held the night before the opening of the 2024 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
Owners applauded and cheered as the magnificent luxury motor yacht cruised into view, with a singer on the bow of the yacht delivering an anthem that welcomed a new era yacht of breathtaking beauty, immense luxury and meticulous detail.

ANITA, WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
Once rafted, owners – like Anita and Mark from West Palm Beach in Florida, who had ordered this magnificent yacht off the plan – were invited aboard, for the fully immersive experience.
“We had seen pictures and drawings, but to see it, touch it, and feel it, is another thing. It has been very exciting,’’ Anita said. “We ordered the 6800 two years ago, and it is everything I expected. I love the way you can walk around the outside and still feel safe.’’
Mark said it will be like their home, because they plan to spend a lot of time aboard. “I know we are going to spend a tremendous amount of time enjoying the forward deck lounge taking advantage of all the space up there,’’ he said.
The 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition, expected to be commissioned in June 2025, will be Anita and Mark’s third Riviera.
“It is a big boat, but it doesn’t feel too big,’’ Mark said. “I feel really confident that we will be able to handle this ourselves. It also gives us room so that our entire family can be on board all at once.’

Other owners were equally effusive on the night about the 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition.

“From where it’s come from – the renders that we got early on in the piece – to seeing it in real life there’s nothing that we would change,” said another.
“It’s a 10 out of 10…and I’m a tough marker. I think they have done a great job,’’ said Queensland owner, Simon George. “You can appreciate the extra thought that’s gone into the design. There’s nothing that I would want to change. I like that there’s a lot of one-level living and entertaining.’’
“The full beam master is gorgeous,” said Caitlin Harvey. “I love the feeling of space. I feel like the extended range tanks and the ability to take on more provisions will benefit us on the dream to go further. We’d like to go around Australia, New Zealand and venture into the South Pacific.’’

A night to remember. As the 6800 Sport Yacht cruised out of the setting sun, owners applauded and cheered the arrival of this exceptional new yacht. This was the commencement of a very special Riviera family celebration.
