Riviera Australia owner Rodney Longhurst hosted a lunch at the company’s facility in Coomera on Queensland’s Gold Coast to thank the assembled team. This event recognised their great commitment, effort and achievements.
The team worked relentlessly in the lead-up to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and the premiere of three magnificent new motor yachts, an exceptional 12-yacht showcase and vibrant and empowering program of 35 events all held in May.
Over the past 12 months, the team have celebrated the world premiere of the Riviera 6200 and 5600 Sport Yacht Platinum Editions and the 64 Sports Motor Yacht Series II.
“I am so very proud that all of this happens right here in this facility in Australia.”

The Festival of Boating held in May, offered a series of events exclusively created for Riviera motor yacht owners. More than 30 expert-led seminars and on-water workshops designed to deepen knowledge, enhance safety and maximise enjoyment on the water were offered this year in addition to several signature social events for owners.
More than 500 Riviera owners attended the elegant Cocktails & Dreams gala dinner events held on the boat show display over three glittering evenings. Whilst the ladies’ luncheon held at the Riviera Yacht Club on the Coomera riverfront at the company’s facility was attended by over 90 ladies. While the fully booked food and wine masterclass Dare to Pair, featuring chef Sally Jenyns and winemaker Mike Hays was a popular experience this year.
During the show and festival, many of the Riviera team take time away from their regular roles to support show visitors and assist with festival events.
“…no matter what goals we set for ourselves or challenges we may face, your teamwork and excellence always stand out.”

Addressing the entire team during the lunch, Mr Longhurst expressed his special thanks for their tireless efforts over the year and during the extended show period.
“You all demonstrate that, no matter what goals we set for ourselves or challenges we may face, your teamwork and excellence always stand out,” said Mr Longhurst.
A powerful example of this Mr Longhurst said was that “Riviera now stands among the top luxury motor yachts in our size range in the United States.
“That is no small achievement,” he said. “This hasn’t happened by chance. It’s because all of you are focused on delivering excellence.
“I am so very proud that all of this happens right here in this facility in Australia. You have built more than 100 motor yachts over the past year and that is only possible because of your world-class attitude.
“We are investing in our future. We are investing in the latest new machinery. We keep growing our capabilities and investing in our new model development. And we continue to invest in the future of everyone here.
“I truly appreciate your commitment to building our world-class motor yachts and to creating an outstanding customer experience for our yacht owners,” said Mr Longhurst.
