Riviera has proudly announced the world premiere of the new-generation 5000 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition, a completely reimagined design that offers higher-level luxury, innovation and effortless blue-water living.
Inspired by one of Riviera’s most celebrated models, the original 5000 Sport Yacht launched in 2009, this brilliant new motor yacht advances a legacy that saw these ever-popular handcrafted yachts delivered to discerning owners throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the United States.
The new 5000 Sport Yacht represents a refinement of Riviera’s Sport Yacht philosophy, blending exhilarating performance, contemporary luxury, and inspired design into one exceptional motor yacht.

Speaking at the announcement, Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst reflected on the outstanding advancements achieved by Riviera over the past decade.

At 50 feet, the 5000 Sport Yacht occupies what many owners consider the ideal balance between luxury entertaining, long-range cruising capability and effortless owner operation.
The Platinum Edition introduces refined appointments, sophisticated colour palettes, and elevated finishes throughout, delivering a level of amenity and craftsmanship for which Riviera are internationally respected.
From the moment owners step aboard via the teak-laid hydraulic swim platform, the yacht reveals a thoughtful approach to life on the water. The innovative platform lowers to create a private beach club experience and incorporates cascading steps for easy water access. Below the aft deck, a tender garage securely houses water sports equipment and a 2.8-metre tender complete with outboard, enabling simple launch and retrieval via an integrated electric winch system.
Designed for entertaining, the expansive aft deck forms the social heart of the yacht. A plush transom lounge spans the beam, complemented by an elegant dining setting and a fully appointed alfresco galley featuring barbecue facilities, refrigeration, ice-maker and wet bar. Above, an electric sunroof invites natural light and fresh sea air.
Opening the saloon door and awning window creates a grand seamless single-level living deck effortlessly connecting indoor and outdoor spaces.
Inside, the saloon combines handcrafted timber cabinetry, luxurious lounges and panoramic views with a contemporary galley equipped with premium appliances and thoughtful storage solutions. Whether entertaining family and friends or sharing a quiet evening aboard, every element has been designed to maximise comfort, functionality and enjoyment.
The wide side decks lead forward to the generous entertaining foredeck featuring sun lounges, companion seating, an integrated icebox and optional awning, creating the perfect destination for relaxation at anchor.
The helm showcases Riviera’s latest technology and ergonomic design. Advanced touchscreen navigation systems, joystick manoeuvring controls and exceptional visibility through the engineered curved-glass windscreen provide confidence and ease of operation, whether cruising offshore or docking in a busy marina.
The accommodation deck offers either a two- or three-stateroom layout. Both configurations feature a magnificent full-beam master suite complete with expansive storage, designer finishes and a luxurious private ensuite. A forward VIP stateroom offers equally impressive comfort for guests, while the optional lower lounge in the two-stateroom design provides a versatile media room or additional accommodation.

Owners can further personalise their yacht with a suite of smart technologies including Sentinel remote monitoring, Volvo Penta Assisted Docking, Praxis Composite solar charging, Seakeeper stabilisation and Starlink connectivity.
