Togetherness is always a winner for the Riviera family and this photo submitted by Scott Sach is the winner of our latest Riviera Owners’ Photo and Video Competition. The photo of three Riviera motor yachts – a 48 Offshore Express, a 48 Enclosed Flybridge and a 40 Open Flybridge – was taken on a trip to Brampton Island on the Great Barrier Reef off the north Queensland coast. “It was the first decent weekend of the year and we all headed out for a night on the water,” says Scott who owns the 40 Open Flybridge. “We were overnighting with another Riviera, a 4800 Sport Yacht, and it was the first weekend of decent weather in the area this year – but it finally looks like more is on the way.” We also salute the Riviera owners for the clever names for their motor yachts – Play Station, Aquasition and Un-Reel.
The retro-contemporary style of Belize motor yachts looks right at home in Miami, Florida, the world’s art deco capital. Thanks to Dani Gordon for this entry titled Miami Beach Modern which proudly features Amazon, the family’s Belize 54 Daybridge. Dani says the shot shows Amazon at port, ready for her next American Caribbean adventure at a moment’s notice. “We are out almost every weekend for daytime trips, as well as overnights, that range from hidden-away lakes, runs to Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach to trips down the Florida Keys,” says Dani.
Breakfast with a view is how Darren Rockley describes this stunning photo of his 395 SUV, Sunny Day. The photo was taken at Port Stephens on the NSW coast looking towards the heads after Darren left the marina at The Anchorage to drop the anchor off Shoal Bay in perfect weather conditions.
Getting away from it all is Tony Duarte aboard a classic Riviera 34 Flybridge, named Go Away, pictured here moored in the calm waters of Cherry Cove on Catalina Island. It’s a popular spot for fishing and diving adventures, or simply enjoying a boating escape just 35km (22 miles) off Long Beach on the California coast.
A picture is worth a thousand words, and this one shared by Tania Wilson says plenty about how special the Riviera experience is with a Riviera 43 and a Riviera 40 – named Black Label and Condor – anchored in the beautiful waters of Lake Macquarie on the NSW coast north of Sydney. The entry is titled ‘We Luv Lake Mac’ and Tania explains this is a ‘typical weekend with friends on our beautiful lake with so many great spots to chill’.
Surrounded by the rugged beauty of the Italian Riviera, this Riviera 4000 Offshore makes a bold statement anchored at San Fruttuoso in the Comogli municipality, south-east of Genoa, with a name that is very Australian in origin – SICKIE. Thanks to Mattia Volpi for this entry which is accompanied with the proud declaration: “The best 4000 Offshore hardtop in the world!”
