Riviera’s new 565 SUV premieres at the Palm Beach International Boat Show

The striking new Riviera 565 SUV from Australia’s favourite and most awarded luxury boat builder will premiere at 29th annual Palm Beach International Boat Show from March 20 to 23.

As one of the top five shows in the United States, Riviera’s 565 SUV, 43 Open Flybridge and 5000 Sport Yacht will star among more than $1.2 billion worth of boats, yachts and accessories from the world’s leading marine manufacturers.

Riviera’s international sales director, Chris McCafferty said Riviera’s recent new releases had been extremely well received by the American market.

“I have no doubt that the Americas will fall in love with the new 565 SUV and we are pleased to be to be showcasing this exciting new model at the Palm Beach International Boat Show,” Mr McCafferty said.

“The first SUV model, the 445, met with immediate popularity following its launch in August 2012, with already 19 of the 445s having been sold international and around Australia.

“The new 565 is a culmination of more than 34 years of boat building design, experience and extensive owner feedback from around the world and we look forward to her Palm Beach premiere.”

Bearing Riviera’s classic hallmark design, the new 565 SUV combines the high performance, blue water cruising and fish raising abilities of the classic Flybridge and the single-level leisurely entertaining features of the very popular Sport Yacht series to create a vessel like no other.

Riviera’s chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst said the new 565 SUV design offered a flexible accommodation plan featuring three cabins with sleeping capacity for six to eight adults and two bathrooms.
“The stately full-beam master suite features a king size island bed, large hull windows and optional opening port holes for cross ventilation, a walk-in robe, lounge and 32 inch television and DVD player as standard in this model,” Mr Longhurst said.

“The forward cabin has an optional layout with the choice of either a queen size island bed or a triple bunk bed arrangement. This cabin also features large hull windows and deck hatch for ventilation.

“The third cabin has two metre long bunk beds, making this vessel ideal for extended stays aboard with family or friends.”

The new 565 SUV has many clever design and aesthetic features such as, the sleek, low profile hardtop with two large manually sliding sunroof hatches, which bring an abundance of natural light and fresh air into the saloon.

“There is great all round visibility from the helm and the raised seating area in the saloon and large opening side windows provide a real indoor-outdoor feel,” he said.

“The wide helm station to port has plenty of room for electronics including three display screens, controls and the joystick. There are four high-quality helm chairs, two of which swivel 180 degrees to face the saloon allowing occupants to join in the conversation in the saloon area.

“The saloon features an L-shaped lounge and dining area to port with storage below. We have designed the dining table to allow it to swivel 90 degrees and drop down level with the lounge to create a double bed with cushion insert.”

With a moulded hull length of 56’5” and a beam of 16’10”, this striking new model features twin Volvo IPS engines and a mid-ships fuel tank with 3,500 litres fuel capacity.

Riviera’s 43 Open Flybridge incorporates great function and style and was designed exclusively using Riviera’s Unigraphics, three-dimensional CAD software system. The 43 brings the outdoors in, creating an alfresco environment with a seamless transition between the expansive cockpit and contemporary leather and varnished cherry interior.

Featuring two large cabins with sleeping accommodation for up to six, the 43 offers a forward master stateroom with queen size bed and ensuite bathroom while the full beam aft cabin offers optional opening portlights for natural light and ventilation.

The next generation 5000 Sport Yacht has been designed and built for the global market and is akin to a floating five-start resort, featuring a single-level lifestyle design with aft galley, stainless steel pillarless aft bulkhead door and fold-up awning window that open the saloon right out into the cockpit, the next generation 5000 Sport Yacht is the ultimate on water entertainer.

Continuing Riviera’s commitment to innovation, the 5000SY offers owners the option of two accommodation layouts to further personalise the vessel: a three cabin and two bathroom design or two cabins and two bathrooms plus a below-deck lounge area. The large full-beam aft cabin offers options of an athwartships double bed and single portside bed or three singles. And now, the next generation 5000 Sport Yacht with large hull windows and opening port windows offers an abundance of light and fresh air into the master suite.

In 2012 Riviera celebrated the launch of its 5000th boat, the 445 SUV, a significant achievement in the company’s rich 34-year history.

Riviera also offers the bespoke Belize Motoryachts. Inspired by classic luxury details and timeless style, Belize Motoryachts has recently released the new 54-foot Sedan and Daybridge models.

We have customised the dining table to allow it to swivel 90 degrees and drop down level with the lounge to create a double bed with cushion insert.

“On the starboard side we have the three seater starboard side lounge which lifts up to reveal more storage below.

“The aft galley, which features the most modern appliances with drawer refrigeration, convection microwave oven, optional drawer dishwasher, four plate cooktop with extraction hood, top loading garbage bin, and soft close drawer runners plus additional overhead storage lockers, and Corian benchtops throughout with removable infills over the sink creating extra bench space.”

A large awning window and glass sliding door perfectly connects the aft galley with the cockpit area, creating one large entertainment space.

A key design feature that sets this model apart is the expansive and uncluttered cockpit space with plenty of storage including, an insulated fish bin to starboard, plus clever storage inside the engine room hatch – simply raise the hinged cockpit floor and the two large fore and aft fish/storage bins lift with the deck whilst a third square storage compartment is revealed. The mezzanine seating to port also features a top loading refrigerated cool box beneath.

There is the option to have a barbecue centre in the transom with barbecue, sink, rubbish bin and storage or optional live bait tank or standard storage bin, as well as an optional hydraulic swim platform for a tender.

Mr Longhurst said another clever design feature on this vessel was the full glass panel on the starboard side of the sliding door, which provides good visibility to both the transom corners from the helm.

“Adjacent to the galley is a wet bar, which features Corian benchtops, a second bank of double drawer refrigeration, ice maker, glass and drinks storage, as well as a television mounted on an electric riser.

“The new 565 SUV’s décor gives a modern and contemporary feel. The standard interior design features the new style interior, with two-pack painted finishes, satin finish American oak timber, wall fabrics and timber flooring, which give a real Euro feel. An optional interior décor is available and this is using Riviera’s rich traditional high gloss Cherry timber.

“Such interior versatility demonstrates Riviera’s flexibility to be able to create each owner’s dream boat by personalising many aspects of the boat and we look forward to showcasing this stunning vessel for the first time at Miami.”
