Riviera rolls out the red carpet in Newport

Riviera’s ethos of excellence will be presented through a stunning $US5 million, red-carpet showcase of on-water luxury at Newport International Boat Show (17-20 September 2015).

The multi-award winning luxury marque’s Rhode Island display will feature two models from the sporty and adventurous SUV crossover range, as well examples from the true blue-water classic Flybridge collection and also the timelessly classic Belize design.

Riviera international sales director Chris McCafferty said the name Riviera is synonymous worldwide with hallmark luxury, technology, blue-water sea-keeping abilities and unrivalled owner support.

“We are continually striving to make boating easier and more enjoyable for both experienced boaters and also those aspiring to take the helm and we are very proud of our model line-up for Newport,” he said.

Mr McCafferty said Riviera’s renowned commitment of refinement in all areas of design, technology, performance and luxury livability complements an aggressive new model development program that is attracting more new members to the worldwide family of Riviera and Belize owners.

Riviera likes to call it: ‘the ultimate boating experience’.

Sporty and adventurous Riviera 515 on display

The clever SUV crossover collection from Riviera is the perfect pairing of two legendary designs, each with its own formidable pedigree. The SUV design combines the high-performance, blue-water cruising and fish-raising abilities of the supremely seaworthy Riviera Flybridge with the single-level leisurely entertaining features of the very popular Sport Yacht series.

Key features of the three-stateroom/two bathroom Riviera 515 SUV include double transom doors that create an island barbecue and storage centre aft of an already expansive, 106.6 square feet (9.90m2) cockpit, an awning window that opens to the cockpit to create a free-flowing space from the forward helm through to the rear boarding platform as well as panoramic side sliding salon windows, huge curved glass windscreen and two electric sliding sunroofs.

All critical navigation electronics, comprehensive engine instrumentation and vessel controls are within easy reach of two leather Navigator helm seats at the 515’s sports-inspired command console which has the very latest in marine technology, including the intuitive C-Zone digital switching system that is now a key feature of every new Riviera created, as well as joystick control for slow-speed maneuvering. There is an additional joystick located in the cockpit to aid with precise docking.

Popular power in the 515 SUV is the new-generation twin Volvo IPS 800 (441kW/600hp x 2) pod drives with D11 engines which achieve a cruising range of approximately 355 nautical miles at 23.9 knots, with 10 per cent fuel reserve.

Very versatile Riviera 445 SUV on display

A key feature of the Riviera 445 SUV is a 122.9 square feet (11.42m2) Flybridge-scale cockpit with massive side lockers/fish bins, solid surface bench-top with top-loading refrigerated cool box, ice-maker and recycling bin to port and an aft-facing mezzanine lounge with storage to starboard.

As you step inside the sumptuous saloon you will feel right at home, with modern port-side galley with Riviera’s trademark awning window connecting to the cockpit, starboard U-shaped premium leather lounge encompassing hi-lo-dining table that folds and lowers to become a coffee table, or extra bed, complementing those on the accommodation deck.

The master stateroom forward features a queen-sized island bed and ensuite bathroom. The full-beam guest aft stateroom features three adult-sized beds, two of which can slide together to create a double. This stateroom has private access to the second bathroom as a true ensuite, or can be separated to allow this bathroom to serve as the day head.

The 445 SUV also features the very latest in marine navigation and onboard systems technology, including digital switching, innovative joystick maneuverability and incredible fuel economy and with popular power of twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 (320kW/435hp x 2) pod drives with D6 engines, has a cruising range of 335 nautical miles at 26 knots with 10 per cent fuel reserve and depending on load and sea conditions.

“To date almost 90 sporty and adventurous SUV models have been built from the three-model range at the world-class Riviera facility on Australia’s Gold Coast,” said Mr McCafferty. “The growing number of Riviera SUV owners around the world tell us it’s like having two boats … in one.”

True blue-water classic Riviera 43 Open Flybridge on display

The Riviera 43 Open Flybridge incorporates great function and style within a supremely comfortable, sea-kindly hull. The most striking aspect about this Riviera is the way it brings the outdoors in, creating a true alfresco environment with a glass awning window enhancing the seamless transition between the expansive 122.9 square feet (11.42m2) cockpit and the contemporary leather and rich, varnished timber interior.

The main salon is both elegant and practical while below decks there is sleeping accommodation for up to six in two generous staterooms with two bathrooms. The flybridge, accessible from the cockpit via the Riviera design ‘stair-ladder’, offers 360-degree vision with minimal interruption thanks to the structural hardtop canopy.

Popular power in the 43 Open Flybridge is twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 pod drives (320kW x  435hp x 2) with D6 engines which achieve an approximate cruising range of 340 nautical miles at 24.5 knots, with 10 per cent fuel reserve.

Belize 54 Daybridge – the totally new tradition in motor yachts

The Belize 54 Daybridge is a three stateroom/two bathroom design with full-beam master stateroom and two helm stations – a delicate balance of European flair and Australian practicality and incorporating sophisticated styling, palatial appointments and clever storage solutions.

“The Belize 54 Daybridge – inspired by timeless elegance and Australian practicality – was designed to cater for the growing affection for high-end luxury motor yachts blending traditional design with the latest in marine technology, and is available in both Daybridge and Sedan models,” said Mr McCafferty.

“The 54 Daybridge truly does have the ability to transfix an entire bay of modern craft when she glides in – and she has an impeccable blue water pedigree that is proven to handle the tough Australian offshore conditions.”
