Riviera announced a new entree to the innovative Sports Motor Yacht collection at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

Australia’s world-class luxury motor yacht builder, Riviera, announced the latest model in the outstanding Sports Motor Yacht collection, the 39.

This inspired new model will have its World Premiere at the Sydney International Boat Show beginning on Thursday, 2 August, 2018.

The 39 Sports Motor Yacht includes raised bulwarks on the side decks and multiple entertainer spaces, including a light and spacious saloon, open cockpit and extended flybridge that are emblematic of Riviera Sports Motor Yachts.

Riviera owner Rodney Longhurst said the 39 Sports Motor Yacht provides a compelling new entree to the Riviera family.

“She is a brilliant example of Riviera’s evolution and constant refinement across our five collections,” he said.

An entertainer’s cockpit

Stepping aboard from a fixed swim platform through a transom door, the cockpit is an open space for entertaining and water sports. A barbecue unit is set across the transom, facing forward and accessed from the swim platform.

In the cockpit,  a teak table and a lounge set under the awning window to port offer alfresco dining.

Optional fold-out seating is recessed into the coaming on both port and starboard sides.

Access to the engine room is via a large hydraulic lift hatch that makes up most of the cockpit floor. Access for day-to-day inspections or maintenance is through a smaller hatch, immediately aft of the saloon door.

Raised bulwarks provide an additional level of security when moving forward or aft along the side decks.

Sunlovers will enjoy the foredeck with its optional large sunlounge with integrated folding backrests and drink holders.

Extended open flybridge

Featuring deep and wide teak treads for safety, a stair-ladder on the starboard side of the cockpit connects this space with the innovative and extended flybridge.

The twin helm-and-companion seat forward faces a sports wheel, comprehensive engine controls including a Volvo Penta IPS joystick and navigation displays behind a Perspex windscreen.

Guests may relax on a cushioned L-shape lounge aft of the helm seat while a sturdy GRP rail wraps around the entire aft section, providing both safety for guests and an ideal location for radar and communications units.

Sun protection to the flybridge is provided by a bimini top.

Contemporary saloon

Mellow timber panelling and cabinetry and elegantly coloured Sunbrella fabrics enhance the contemporary styling throughout the 39 Sports Motor Yacht.

A fully-equipped aft galley is on the starboard side with a raised dining area opposite, offering sweeping views through the wrap-around windows, windscreen and aft through a stainless steel framed glass bulkhead door and awning window.

The lower helm forward includes a leather helm-and-companion seat facing a leather sports wheel, twin engine controls and an IPS joystick outboard and two navigation displays.

A raised lounge opposite the helm provides sweeping views forward. The entertainment unit, with  lift-up television, radio and CD sound system with iPod interface, is positioned forward.

Comfortable accommodation

The lower deck provides sleeping accommodation for five adults in two staterooms.

The luxurious master stateroom forward includes a queen-size walk-around double bed, a wardrobe on the port side aft quarter as well as overhead lockers and shelving. Hull windows on both sides flood the stateroom with natural light while an aft-hinging deck hatch with insect screen and blind provide both additional light and fresh air.

The stateroom is designed with ensuite access to the bathroom immediately aft that includes a vanity toilet and separate shower stall with a frameless glass door. The bathroom can be utilised as the master ensuite and as the day head.

A midship stateroom opens up to reveal a light-filled space with twin beds athwartships to starboard and a single bed set along the port side. The twin beds can be converted with an infill into a large double bed. A wardrobe offers hanging space at the entry and further space is available under the twin beds. Natural light is provided by generous hull windows, equipped on both sides with opening portholes.

Power at your fingertips

Power for the Riviera 39 Sports Motor Yacht  comes from twin Volvo Penta D6 IPS 500 turbo diesel engines providing 272kw (370hp) of power with IPS 10 drive units.

The reassurance of Riviera provides that all Volvo Penta systems, drives and electronics are covered by an industry-leading five-year limited warranty to complement Riviera’s structural five-year limited warranty.
