Multiple European Premieres from Riviera at Cannes Yachting Festival

Highly awarded luxury motor yacht builder Riviera Australia has announced three inspiring European Premieres as part of its stunning on-water showcase for this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (6-11 September 2016).

Proudly on display for the first time in Europe will be the stylish new 5400 Sport Yacht, the true blue-water classic 52 Enclosed Flybridge and the supremely seaworthy 45 Open Flybridge.

Riviera international sales director Chris McCafferty said Cannes Yachting Festival – with over 50,000 visitors – is the first industry show of the Mediterranean season and one of the leading in-water boat shows in Europe.

“This glittering setting has been made famous by the annual Cannes Film Festival and is held right in the heart of the French Riviera,” he said.

“It’s the perfect location to share Riviera Australia’s ethos of excellence and philosophy of creating ‘the ultimate boating experience’.”

Mr McCafferty said Riviera’s latest luxurious motor yachts have been very well received in Australia and the Americas and he is certain the European market will be equally impressed.

“Riviera has a rich 36-year heritage of striving to enhance the fun and fulfillment of its global family of discerning luxury motor yacht owners, and works collaboratively with them to continually refine the hallmark easy-to-use equipment and technology, and the practicality and hands-on operational design aspects that make the Riviera boating experience superior.

“Our luxurious line-up in Cannes will reflect a great passion for excellence, for supreme blue-water sea-keeping capabilities and for superior owner enjoyment.”

Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht – The Spirit Of Excellence
European Premiere

Riviera’s new 5400 Sport Yacht design has already set a new worldwide standard for luxury single-level living, cruising and entertaining yachts in the mid 50-foot category.

“With key design cues taken from the very popular Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht, the three-stateroom, two-bathroom 5400 model is an inspiring evolution of the luxury indoor/outdoor, single-level living design for which our Sport Yacht series is highly awarded,” said Mr McCafferty.

“The 5400 is very popular with sun-worshippers who just love the forward deck sun lounge space and the fact the cockpit sunroof slides open at the touch of a button so you can also enjoy the sunshine from the aft convertible day bed,” he said.

“This true entertainer’s cockpit flows freely through to the aft gourmet galley and spacious saloon courtesy of a large awning window that opens out and places the chef at the centre of the social scene.

“Her accommodation deck features a luxurious full-beam master stateroom with ensuite, a spacious VIP guest stateroom forward and the option for the portside guest stateroom to serve as an accommodation atrium lounge, if desired.”

The sports-inspired centre-line helm console of the 5400 Sport Yacht has excellent visibility and ergonomics so that all critical navigation electronics, comprehensive engine instrumentation and vessel controls are within easy reach of the central, deluxe Recaro electric-adjusting helm seat.

Here, you’ll be impressed by easy-to-use technology including the easy-boating features of Volvo Penta’s Glass Cockpit navigation and systems monitoring system which is integrated with two joysticks, one at the helm and one in her cockpit.

Base power for the 5400 is the Volvo Penta D11-IPS800 propulsion system with twin D11 engines and IPS20 pod-drives (2 x 441kW/626hp). Owners have the option of the D11-IPS950 system featuring twin D11 engines and IPS20 pod-drives (2 x 533kW/725hp).

Riviera 52 Enclosed Flybridge – The Future Is Now
European Premiere

The new 52 Enclosed Flybridge is testament to Riviera’s commitment to being one of the leading motor yacht builders in the world.

“The 52 Enclosed has a clever new cockpit layout as well as a superbly equipped aft galley that openly connects spacious saloon to the cockpit via the large awning window and sliding glass door,” said Mr McCafferty.

“On the foredeck you have the option for a large sun pad so you can work on your tan or just simply relax and refresh.

“The accommodation deck is a three-stateroom/two-bathroom accommodation design that sleeps six adults, with the superbly appointed master able to be located forward or aft on the portside.

“The 52’s flybridge – enclosed on three sides so you can extend your boating season – is a complete revelation in terms of comfort and you have the option of a fully electric sunroof to draw in extra sunshine when desired.

“The modern command console and dash has enough room for three 17-inch screens and the helm’s electronics integrate seamlessly with the innovative and easy-boating navigation and systems monitoring features of Volvo Penta’s Glass Cockpit that is making boating even easier and more enjoyable.

“Powered by Volvo Penta’s D11-IPS950 system with D11 engines and IPS20 pod-drives (2 x 725hp/533kW) – the 52 Enclosed Flybridge has joysticks at the helm and in the cockpit for easy docking, even in tight quarters.

“There’s also the option of an aft flybridge tournament station, if desired.”

Riviera 45 Open Flybridge – You Can Have It All
European Premiere

The Riviera 45 Open Flybridge – powered by twin Cummins QSC 600 shaft-drive engines (2 x 478kW/650hp) – incorporates great function and style within a supremely comfortable, legendary blue-water hull design.

Mr McCafferty said the 45 Open’s cockpit is designed for both serious fun and serious fishing, and the spacious saloon – with a fully equipped forward galley to port – is an invitation to relax and indulge.

“Below decks there is sleeping accommodation for up to six people in three generous staterooms – the forward master stateroom with its own private ensuite,” he said.

“The very comfortable open-plan flybridge offers all the sun and fresh air you could wish for and boasts 360-degree vision with minimal interruption thanks to the lightweight hardtop.

“The flybridge is accessible from the cockpit via a moulded staircase featuring teak treads and highly polished stainless steel hand rails on both sides.

“In the world of mid-sized luxury flybridges, the Riviera 45 Open – which has the option of a large cushioned sun pad on the forward deck – is the motor yacht that raises the bar; this is the yacht that says: ‘yes, you can have it all’.”

The Riviera Advantage

Riviera – the 2015 and 2016 Australian Marine Exporter of the Year – is continuing to lead the luxury motor yacht market and proudly endorses the easy-to-use systems onboard its world-class designs.

“For instance, all new Riviera motor yachts with Volvo Penta systems incorporate a 5-year limited manufacturer’s warranty spanning Volvo Penta helm stations, steering and propellers as well as major componentry of the marque’s high performance drivelines and fuel-efficient engines,” said Mr McCafferty.

“Available worldwide, this extended warranty complements the Riviera 5-year structural warranty and provides even greater peace of mind for our valued Riviera boating family members.”
