Success begets success… Following the interest in last year’s Riviera Festival of Boating, this year’s Festival will turn up the volume, starting with an on-water ‘red carpet’ parade of luxury boats.
In this multi-million-dollar display, the world debut of the Riviera 565 SUV will be the starring attraction, alongside Riviera’s 5000 Sport Yacht Next Generation, 5800 Sport Yacht, the 63 and 53 model Enclosed Flybridges, 43 Open Flybridge, 445 SUV, and the award-winning Belize 52 Sedan.
The Riviera Festival of Boating is the ultimate boat show experience, says Riviera’s director of brand and communications, Stephen Milne, pointing out that this one distinguishes itself by being held in a relaxed, friendly and unhurried environment .
Boating enthusiasts will enjoy being able to get up close and personal with Riviera’s latest models and get a true feel for the experience known so well to Riviera owners.
On hand at the Festival, among the many knowledgeable Riviera owners, will be a team of dedicated Riviera professionals who will be able to answer questions and share their experiences.
The new 565 SUV combines the blue water cruising capabilities of the Flybridge with the single-level entertainment features of the popular Sport Yacht series. Its flexible accommodation plan, with sleeping capacity for six to eight adults, offers three cabins and two bathrooms – making this vessel ideal for extended stays aboard with family or friends.
With its clever, aesthetic design, the sleek, low profile hardtop has two large sliding glass sunroof hatches that bring an abundance of natural light and fresh air into the saloon.
The expansive, uncluttered cockpit has plenty of storage including an insulated fish bin, plus clever storage inside the engine room hatch. The mezzanine seating to port also features a top loading refrigerated cool box under the seating.
The 565’s large helm station has plenty of room for electronics, including three display screens, controls and the Volvo joystick. Two of the four high-quality helm chairs swivel 180 degrees to allow occupants join the party in the saloon area.
Transom options include a barbecue centre with barbecue, sink, rubbish bin and storage, or optional live bait tank or standard storage bin, as well as an optional hydraulic swim platform for a smaller tender.
Held from May 23 to 26, the Festival will reveal a full interior mock-up of the new Riviera 50 Enclosed Flybridge which is scheduled to make her world debut at the Sydney International Boat Show in August.
The four-day Festival at Riviera’s 14-hectare state-of-the-art facility, will also feature 76 educational workshops and social events. The Festival events require registration (see preceding links) to avoid missing out.
The Riviera Festival of Boating is free to enter, parking is free, and there are free ferry transfers to and from Sanctuary Cove.
