“EUREKA, I FOUND IT! My global search may have just ended when I stepped aboard the new Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht (SMY). Many boatbuilders have tried combining all boating functions into one platform in an effort to create a utilitarian vessel, offering something for everyone. Many have done it well; few have done it exceptionally. But no one has done it quite like Riviera.” – Captain Tom Serio.
Captain Tom Serio’s review in Lakeland Boating, of the Riviera 64 SMY, explores the ingenious combination of luxury, performance, and functionality. From the commanding flybridge to the elegant interiors and impressive exterior features, Serio highlights every aspect of this exceptional yacht.
The seamless blend of luxury, functionality, and performance certainly impressed Serio. He praises the flybridge, describing it as a “destination unto itself” where the owner can effortlessly command the yacht while enjoying comfort and style. With features such as a central console, luxurious seating, and panoramic windows, the flybridge serves as both the command centre and a luxurious entertainment hub. The addition of the port docking pod further elevates the captain’s experience, making docking and manoeuvring a breeze.

The yacht’s exterior is equally remarkable, especially with its 8sqm alfresco deck and spacious cockpit area, ideal for fishing and socialising. As Serio puts it, the Riviera 64 SMY is “designed so well you’ll want to be onboard even if it never leaves the dock”. The bow offers a grand lounge space perfect for socialising or relaxing, with raised seating that ensures comfort and ample room for guests.
In terms of performance, the 64 SMY is impressive. Powered by twin MAN V12 1,550hp engines, the yacht delivers smooth, quiet performance, effortlessly and efficiently reaching 30 knots.
Serio sums up his experience aboard the 64 SMY as “like finding your pot of gold”.
