“The neutral tones in the Pearl collection, which features sustainable organic fabrics with a little bit of pattern, is a beautiful new style. On our motor yachts the timber is the real hero with the majority featuring walnut, so selecting a fabric range that complements the timberwork is key.”
One of Sarah’s personal favourites in the new range is the Alpine collection, which evokes a fresh, cool, and calming environment with a palette centred on a beautiful soft green paired with white and natural stone.
“I think it’s beautiful and it has that nice calming feel to it with the mint green, however it can be given a more luxurious feel by adding in one of the three velvet colours and a nautical striped fabric.”
Another new collection called Tahoe, is inspired by Lake Tahoe, and features a white, navy and tan colour palette. It is a playful mix of textiles featuring a 100% linen/velvet blend and woven vegan leather with a diamond patterned quilt design reflected in the prints and leather weave design.
“Having all these fantastic options available enables our owners to truly personalise their motor yacht’s interior. In the United States we get many requests to differentiate each of the staterooms, so the green, the blue and the red staterooms. We can do that of course but some fabrics are just not suitable for certain applications. For example, we would never recommend an embroidered fabric for a bedspread as it’s just not practical. That’s why each fabric is recommended for a specific purpose,” Sarah explains.
“Our owners can really customise their motor yachts and our feedback has shown that they really enjoy this part of building their dream yacht. Soft furnishings are also an easy way to change the decor especially when there is a change of ownership.”
The new owner of the very first Riviera 78 Motor Yacht, the flagship of the Riviera collection, selected the Coastal range. Classic yet modern, this nautical design features a crisp navy and white theme strong on stripes together with a fabric called Calado, a woven lattice design. This beautifully tailored collection features stitched detailing and master craftsmanship and can be layered with European linens. The Coastal range embodies the qualities of the Riviera brand.
The Midnight range is the monochrome version of Coastal that integrates a sophisticated edge while remaining fresh and light. It is also available in grey for a softer version. Meanwhile the Glacier collection evokes a glamorous-era theme inspired by the iconic art deco buildings of New York City. Think geometric velvets called Waldorf, Plaza and Grand in a palette of duck egg blue and pearl with bedspread fabrics featuring a luxurious blend of linen and cotton sateen.
Another gentler style, Somerset, was Inspired by the south-western English countryside with a colour palette drawing on softer tones of sage, stone and cinnamon to create a calm environment. Subtle floral prints come to life with gentle colour and embroidered details along with Giselle, a paisley damask fabric.
Creating a beautiful and personalised interior is one of the true joys of purchasing a luxury Riviera motor yacht. The onboard decor can be luxurious, contemporary, and stylish while remaining functional. Riviera is proud to offer this latest range of stunning soft furnishings that is designed to further elevate the Riviera ownership experience.
