We are thrilled to announce a sophisticated new yacht to join our SUV collection, the 585. She is the pinnacle of 10 years of evolution and the launch of more than 220 SUV yachts from 39 to 64 feet in length since Riviera pioneered the SUV concept with the 445 model in 2012.
Offering supreme luxury, elegant styling, and exhilarating performance, the Riviera 585 SUV will have her world premiere at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, opening on May 25 this year. Her Americas premiere is set for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, opening on October 25.
She combines the proven blue water hull pedigree and sporting cockpit of the lauded Riviera Sports Motor Yachts, with the single-level living features so enjoyed by Sport Yacht owners.
The 585 is a significant addition to the SUV collection, with welcoming spaces from stem to stern, offering exceptional comfort, whilst enhancing the superb indoor/outdoor lifestyle features that make the SUV models so popular.
The Riviera design team’s clever use of space aboard this new yacht has created an exceptional design, including three large staterooms and three bathrooms, as well as a marvellous space aft of the full-beam midships master suite that can be configured as a utility room, laundry, crew quarters, or additional accommodation with its own bathroom.
She offers the latest generation SUV design qualities, including an expansive water sports space, where the cockpit opens out to the boarding platform, a superb semi-enclosed alfresco deck, and an inviting foredeck entertaining space with a comfortable wrap-around lounge.
Her interior is rich with premium fabrics, exquisitely hand-finished exotic timber cabinetry, in-vogue lounges, and plush carpet in all staterooms.
WELCOME ABOARD THE 585 SUV
The hydraulic lift swim platform with its fixed section against the transom, to assist with launching and retrieving a tender, leads you to the cockpit through one of two doors that open outwards to sit flush against the transom, creating one massive water sports space with plenty of room to fish, dive, launch any number of water toys, or simply relax.
A moulded storage or fish bin unit is built into the transom. The cockpit floor includes hatches on either side to access the Volvo Penta IPS drive units. The starboard hatch also covers a small storage bin. A central hatch lifts to reveal a large lazarette that can be utilised for storage.
Forward on the port side is the barbecue centre, with a moulded lid that covers a premium-quality, electric twin-plate barbecue. A sink, integrated rubbish bin, and storage is below. A similar unit on the starboard side includes a refrigerated cool box and ice maker. A small, moulded opening hatch in the starboard corner protects a conveniently positioned IPS joystick, which can be optioned to be located on the port side. These joystick locations are perfectly positioned for the skipper to undertake slow speed manoeuvring and docking.
Stepping up from the cockpit is the 585 SUV’s entertainment and living epicentre. To port, this semi-enclosed alfresco deck features a plush lounge that can convert to a double daybed. To starboard, enjoy alfresco living and dining; the L-shaped lounge is set around a handcrafted folding teak table which is fitted with drink holders.
One-way glass quarter panels on both sides of the alfresco deck provide protection from the elements, light, and privacy.
Twin electric sunroofs are built into the alfresco deck hardtop, introducing additional light and fresh air.
A large deck hatch provides excellent service access to the engine room.
Moving forward, wide side decks include a new drain design that diverts water from reaching the cockpit whilst running offshore or during wash-down.
The foredeck zone offers another entertaining or relaxation space; it is perfectly suited to sunset drinks, providing plush lounge seating for up to eight guests, a removable GRP table with glass holders, an insulated cool box, and stereo speakers linked to the saloon entertainment system. Gas strut hatch lids access lockers for fenders and ropes.
HANDCRAFTED LUXURY
The luxurious and substantial saloon connects seamlessly with the alfresco deck through a strong stainless-steel sliding glass door, and large awning window, that opens the galley and saloon to the exterior.
The entire saloon space has been created to optimise the flow and enjoyment of owners and their guests.
A superbly equipped and appointed U-shaped gourmet galley is aft along the port side. A three-hotplate induction cooktop includes removable potholders, and a full-height fridge/freezer stands in the aft corner. A combination oven/microwave, with an integrated grill, and a dishwasher, are under the benchtop. Forward of the galley is a water-tight side door giving easy access to the port side deck and the foredeck lounge, or for line handling or anchoring.
The starboard side features a wet bar in the aft corner, an electric-lift TV built into the cabinetry beside the bar, and a long lounge with the ingeniously concealed foldout timber dining table for when you wish to dine inside, or you have additional guests aboard.
The helm, forward on the port side, provides two luxurious leather helm seats spaced apart for access. The inboard helm faces the comprehensive systems controls and includes a joystick, navigation, engine monitoring and CZone digital switching control screens. Monitoring cameras feed to the large navigation screens from the bow anchor, rear cockpit, and engine room. Further smart boating technology includes electronic engine controls and steering, dynamic positioning system, autopilot, low speed joystick steering mode, interceptor, bow thruster and search light controls. In addition, an anchor control with chain counter, VHF radio, compass, and USB port, complete the array of technology that makes boating with Riviera just so easy and enjoyable.
The forward starboard corner of the saloon offers a generous and extremely comfortable L-shape lounge opposite the helm, allowing family or guests to be socially connected whilst underway.
A large electric GRP sunroof is built into the hardtop to offer additional light and fresh air.
OPULENT ACCOMMODATION
A forward central stairway leads from the saloon to the light-filled and substantial accommodation deck that includes three luxurious staterooms and three bathrooms.
The full-beam master suite amidships is brilliantly bathed in light and fresh air from large hull windows with integrated opening portholes. It features a king-sized walk-around bed, casual dining or study to the port side, a cedar-lined walk-in wardrobe aft on the starboard side, and a generous ensuite bathroom forward, also to starboard. Forward is an optional bar fridge with a servery for a coffee machine, providing the perfect minibar within the master stateroom.
A highly practical and generous space aft of the master stateroom can be personalised to suit an owners’ needs; perhaps as a laundry, utility room, crew cabin, additional accommodation with a separate bathroom, or even a mini gymnasium. Fitted out as a laundry or utility room, the space includes an under-bench washing machine and dryer with an adjacent linen cupboard and a sink and storage unit with hull window and opening porthole. In the crew cabin layout, a bathroom is to port and a single berth is above the washing machine and dryer. The aft bulkhead has a wide watertight door that provides excellent access to the engine room.
The VIP guest stateroom forward, includes an ensuite bathroom, and a queen-sized walk-around bed, with an abundance of storage under the bed. There is further storage in two overhead lockers, a double hanging robe or an additional robe with shelving. Fresh air and light are introduced to the stateroom from twin overhead deck hatches and large hull windows.
The second guest stateroom to port features two single berths with bedside tables. At the touch of a button, the two berths can slide together to form a double. There is also a large hull window with opening port, and a hanging locker. The third bathroom is opposite on the starboard side and acts as the day head.
OPTIONS FOR EVEN GREATER COMFORT, CONVENIENCE, AND STYLE
There is an option for a winged sports pack arch to be added to the hardtop to carry radar and communications domes as well as an optional trickle-charge solar panel connected to the 12-volt battery.
Owners can opt for gyroscopic or fin stabilisation aboard the 585 SUV yacht. The gyro option is set under the cockpit. The fin option provides even more space in the lazarette, as the head units are mounted in the engine room.
POWER AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
Access to the full-height and substantial engine room is via a wide watertight door from the utility space aft of the master stateroom, or through a large service hatch from the alfresco deck.
Riviera engineers have selected the option of twin Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1200s, rated at 900hp (662 kW) each, or twin Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1350s, rated at 1000hp (735kW). Both options deliver exceptional power-to-weight performance.
All new Riviera motor yachts are equipped with Siren Marine to allow owners to remotely monitor key onboard systems, the yacht’s location, and to activate selected onboard equipment.
