“We are extremely proud of the new 6200 Sport Yacht. We’ve considered and maximised every centimetre of space and have diligently focused on performance and the integration of smart technology that makes boating with Riviera easier and more pleasurable’, said Dan Henderson, Riviera’s Design & Engineering Director.
“The feedback from the private owners’ preview evening ahead of the boat show was fantastic. It’s a huge credit to our team – the amazing people at Riviera who create our world-class luxury motor yachts’, said Riviera Australia owner Rodney Longhurst.

Shining like a star with her ‘diamond’ colour hull and hard top, as soon as you step aboard you appreciate immediately that the focus is creating the ultimate boating lifestyle.
The expansive aft deck has been designed to maximise both space and flexibility. A large transom lounge complements the L-shaped lounge and dining area for six to seven guests opposite, while the alfresco galley creates a truly open entertaining environment.
Beneath a beautiful Corian benchtop, owners will find dual electric grills, a sink, dedicated ice maker, refrigeration and integrated storage. The result is an outdoor entertaining space capable of hosting family and friends in complete comfort, while maintaining the clean, uncluttered aesthetic so respected on Riviera yachts.
Forward, adjustable sun loungers and U-shaped seating around a central table create an inviting second outdoor social space where guests can relax and simply enjoy uninterrupted views from the bow.
One of the most impressive aspects of the new 6200 design is its intelligent use of space and optional layouts accommodating up to nine people.
The very social saloon is arranged around three dedicated entertaining areas with opposing sofas in co-ordinating premium neutral leather or fabric finishes, each with its own versatile ottoman/coffee table. Forward, there is a generous companion L-shaped lounge which is just perfect for enjoying time underway. Natural light fills the interior through expansive glazing, and a large electric sunroof is ideal for creating a real sense of open-boating or for stargazing at night.
Socialising with friends and family is paramount and to port there’s a wine fridge, refrigeration drawers and chilled bottle storage, while the gourmet galley aft features expansive waterfall benchtops, premium appliances and a large opening window seamlessly connecting the saloon and aft deck as one large relaxing, entertaining or dining space.
The helm reflects the yacht’s owner-operator philosophy. Twin Garmin displays, intuitive CZone control, joystick manoeuvring and luxurious leather-appointed helm seats create a command station that is as sophisticated as it is comfortable. Dedicated docking stations on both sides of the aft deck further simplify close-quarters handling.
The accommodation deck layout options include four staterooms or three with a lower lounge, which hull number one features. The lower lounge positioned between the guest accommodation and owner’s suite is framed by brilliant hull windows and centred around a large-screen television, providing yet another inviting and relaxing space for owners and guests to enjoy.
The exceptional full-beam master suite includes a king-sized island bed, extensive wardrobe space, dressing table and superb ensuite, creating a private owner’s retreat more commonly associated with larger motor yachts. Sophisticated design details include a headboard feature crafted using alternate grain directions, large hull windows with opening ports and a moulded Corian vanity and sink with mirrored storage in the ensuite. This leads through to a utility room fitted with premium appliances and extensive storage, as practicality is key for owners who enjoy spending extended time cruising in complete comfort.
With an option to have the utility room as a fully appointed crew cabin, this sport yacht really is pure magic.
“For us, it’s all about giving our owners an amazing lifestyle experience and a world-class yacht they truly want and are proud to own.”
Rodney Longhurst
The VIP stateroom forward offers a queen island berth and private ensuite, while a versatile guest stateroom to port converts from twin singles to a double configuration at the push of a button.
A full-height engine room provides exceptional service access around the Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1200 or 1350 engines while a large tender garage accommodates up to a 3.5-metre Williams Jet Tender along with water sports equipment and all the cruising essentials.
For its new American owner, the first Riviera 6200 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition will represent far more than a magnificent new luxury yacht. It is the first expression of how Riviera has rewritten the rule book to deliver greater space, greater liveability and a truly outstanding experience on the water.
“There’s no-one in a tower telling us what to do. For us, it’s all about giving our owners an amazing lifestyle experience and a world-class yacht they truly want and are proud to own. Purchasing a new yacht is just the beginning of their journey with the Riviera family,” said Rodney Longhurst.
