2005 - RIVIERA 60 ENCLOSED FLYBRIDGE
The Riviera 60 Enclosed Flybridge comfortably took on the fleet’s flagship mantle when she was launched in 2005. She offered four cabins, three bathrooms, a voluminous saloon with multiple entertaining areas and an enclosed bridge that invited guests to join the skipper throughout a cruise.
The accommodation included the master stateroom on the port side amidships fitted out with a transverse king-size double bed and large en suite bathroom. The VIP guest stateroom, including a queen double bed, was in the forepeak. It, too, provided an en suite bathroom. The third bathroom was shared by the two starboard side cabins and day guests. One of these cabins was fitted with pullman bunks, the other with a single bed.
The single-level saloon included a massive U-shape galley with recessed three-burner electric cooktop, a convection microwave oven neatly concealed in a timber cabinet, double sink, large food preparation bench and three under-bench fridges.
The plush dinette with timber table was opposite and a long L-shape lounge with coffee table was immediately aft of the galley.
A transverse ladder took skipper and guests from the cockpit to the rear deck of the fully enclosed bridge with forward helm and companion seats facing a wide helm, a wrap-around lounge across the starboard side and a wet bar opposite. The aft bridge deck included a helm station and a lounge tucked into the starboard quarter.
Her hull was designed by superyacht naval architect Frank Mulder and included tunnels for the propellers and underwater exhausts.
She featured on the front covers of Modern Boating and Queensland Acumen magazines.
Yachting magazine in the US said: “she is not just pleasing to the eye – she is a terrific-looking boat “.
With upgraded engines, the reviewer recorded a maximum speed of 36.9 knots.
Modern Boating magazines reviewer said she “turns more like a sports boat than a big flybridge cruiser”.
The review continued “She has all the features and levels of luxury any new owners could wish for.”
A total of 19 Riviera 60s were built over four years in production.
