2015 - RIVIERA 525 SUV
Riviera’s SUV collection continued to expand and add versatility with the arrival of the 525.
From cockpit to accommodation deck, she was designed to offer a flexible lifestyle: cruising, entertaining and fishing.
The cockpit included a mezzanine lounge in the port fore quarter, ideal for al fresco dining. Options across the transom included a full-width lounge or shortened lounge with storage unit. A barbecue unit and wet bar at the starboard fore quarter kept the guests happy and drinks cold. A large awning window and sliding glass door connected the cockpit seamlessly with the interior with its fully equipped aft galley, including an induction cooktop, convection microwave oven, under-bench fridges and dishwasher.
Forward of the galley the saloon included a dining area on the port side with U-shape lounge seating. The hi-lo fold-out table offered a range of options for various times of day – breakfast, a coffee table for afternoon snacks and the full table for the evening meal. A long lounge stretched along the starboard side. The middle section of this lounge could be rolled out to create an ottoman or extra seating at the dining table. A second table was cleverly concealed under this lounge and could be raised to offer additional dining or a worktop. The impressive helm, with skipper and companion seats, were positioned forward of the dining area on the port side.
The accommodation deck provided two generous staterooms plus a twin-bed cabin and two bathrooms. The owner could choose which of the staterooms should be the master – amidships on the port side with a large hull window plus opening porthole or the forward stateroom.
BoatTest.com described her as: “a multi-mission yacht that can function as a blue-water fishing vessel, an extended-stay cruiser or an entertainment platform”.
Leisure Boating’s review said she offered a “fabulous command centre located within the main saloon allowing for easy conversation between the lounge and galley areas”.
She featured on the front cover of Southern Boating in the US, Leisure Boating in South Africa and Nautilus in Australia.
The Riviera 525 SUV was powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 800 rated at 626 hp with the option for Volvo Penta D11 IPS 950 rated to 725 hp.
Riviera built 19 of these motor yachts over five years.
