2009 - RIVIERA 5000 SPORT YACHT

The 5000 Sport Yacht built on the success of the 3600 and the 4700 Sport Yachts and offered a range of options both in the cockpit and the accommodation deck.

She was the first Riviera to utilise the Cummins Zeus pod drive system, giving the design team the opportunity to expand accommodation space which included a large stateroom amidship with an athwartships double bed and a single along the port side. The master stateroom was in the forepeak and included a queen size walk-around bed, hanging lockers and an en-suite bathroom. Owners could select a third bunk cabin on the starboard side or a below-deck lounge area. The second bathroom acted as an en-suite to the midship stateroom, for guests in the bunk cabin, and as a day head.

The saloon was dominated by a large U-shape dining lounge along the entire port side. The timber table could be folded for easy access or could open to a full dining table. The L-shaped galley on the starboard side included a twoburner cooktop, under-bench fridges and optional dishwasher, a convection microwave oven and a stainless steel sink. An awning window and pillarless glass door opened to seamlessly join the saloon with the cockpit. A lounge was under the awning window to port and a second lounge across the transom. A timber table could be positioned in front of the transom lounge or at the fore quarter lounge. A barbecue was set into the transom, accessed from the swim platform that was submersible to help launch the tender stored in the garage.

Lakeland Boating in the US stated that the 5000 Sport Yacht was a “world class yacht and the most popular one that Riviera has built”.

She featured in boating media in the United States, Croatia, Turkey, New Zealand and Australia and was on the front cover of Trade-a-Boat, Lakeland Boating and Docklines.

Over eight years of production, Riviera built 71 of the 5000 Sport Yacht.
