2007 - RIVIERA 45 OPEN FLYBRIDGE

The evolution continued at Riviera with the launch of the 45 Open Flybridge. This model introduced a moulded external staircase from cockpit to flybridge, replacing the traditional ladder. It also included an awning window between cockpit and saloon and an optional cockpit lounge seat below the window to take in the scenery or enjoy the fishing action.

She offered three cabins and two bathrooms, a generous saloon with a galley only one step down from the main living area and a large flybridge with aft helm and companion seats to port facing a helm with enough space for two screens as well as other navigation aids. Guests would enjoy the considerable space forward including an L-shape lounge around a dining table and a second lounge along the starboard side. A wet bar was opposite the helm, immediately in front of the stairwell entry.

Accommodation included the master stateroom forward with queen bed, full height hanging locker and an en suite bathroom. She offered a starboard side pullman-style bunk cabin and port cabin with three single beds shared also the second access to the bathroom. Add the pull-out bed in the saloon and the capacity to convert the flybridge lounge to a further comfortable double bed, the 45 could sleep up to 10 adults.

Trade-A-Boat’s reviewer said: “I’m calling the 45 Riviera’s best boat yet”.

Transom magazine summed up its review with “a good blend of both sport and luxury . . . makes it stand out from the competition”.

She was reviewed by publications in Italy, Croatia, the US and New Zealand as well as in Australia and appeared on the front cover of Sea magazine and Power & Motoryacht in the US, Trade-A-Boat, Ocean and Go Boating in Australia.

To date, 77 of the 45 Open Flybridge yachts have been produced over an extraordinary 13 years in production and this model remains in the Riviera collection in 2021.
