2009 - RIVIERA 43 OFFSHORE EXPRESS

The second model in Riviera’s Offshore Express collection, the 43, captured two elements of success for Riviera – the layout plus Volvo Penta’s IPS introduced on the 4400 Sport Yacht.

She was offered in three styles: an open bridge deck ready for a fishing tower, a forward-raked targa model and three-side enclosed bridge deck.

The 43 offered accommodation for five adults in two cabins, plus a shared bathroom with separate shower stall.

She offered a large cockpit and bridge deck. Two steps up from the cockpit, the bridge deck included a mezzanine lounge overlooking the cockpit. Forward, the helm and companion chairs faced a comprehensive array of engine controls and navigation aids. Immediately aft on the port side was an L-shape lounge around a GRP table with inset drink holders. A cabinet with fridge, ice-maker and storage was opposite.

Stepping down from the bridge deck, the saloon included an L-shape dinette around a timber table on the port side with the galley opposite including two-burner induction cooktop, stainless steel sink, a convection microwave oven and under-bench refrigeration.

Accommodation included a master stateroom forward with a queen-size bed, cedar-lined hanging lockers and an en-suite bathroom that also served the second cabin amidships. This aft cabin was equipped with an athwartships double bed and a single bed along the port side. A hanging locker was provided between the two beds.

Pacific Motor Yacht magazine described the cockpit of this new cruiser as a “fisherman’s playground”.

The 43 Offshore Express was powered by a twin Volvo Penta D6 IPS 600 system with engines rated at 435 hp each.

Over six years of production, Riviera built 19 of the 43 Offshore Express.
