2001 - RIVIERA 37 OPEN FLYBRIDGE
Barely a year after the launch of Riviera’s first “Millennium” model, the 40 Open Flybridge, the 37 was launched.
The new model was destined to achieve simular acclaim both from the boat-buying community and world-wide media.
“This boat was designed and built to maintain its appearance and its integrity for many years to come,” wrote Sea magazine’s reviewer from Hawaii.
“This is clearly a quality vessel, built to the highest standards, and one that is obviously capable of taking its new owners anywhere safely, comfortably and quietly,” he concluded.
The Sydney Morning Herald’s boating writer described her as “a cut above”.
The two cabins and single bathroom, fully equipped galley and comfortable saloon with its L-shaped dinette lounge and timber table brilliantly disguise the fact that this is a smaller boat – by one metre in length only – than the first Millennium boat, the 40.
The 37 was powered by twin Volvo turbo diesel engines rated to 370 hp each.
Over a production period of eight years Riviera would build more of this model than any other Riviera – except the 40 – at a total of 267.
