1999 - RIVIERA 3000 OFFSHORE
Just two years after the success of Riviera’s first sport-style boat the company introduced a smaller sibling, the 3000 Offshore which was produced in a Series I and Series II models.
She was equally popular in her local market as well as overseas. In fact, the 3000 was featured on the front cover of a number of international marine publications including Boat Asia International. At home she was featured on the covers of Modern Boating and Trade-A-Boat magazines.
The interior of the 3000 Offshore resembled a studio apartment with the large double bed, galley and dinette joined in one space, plus an enclosed bathroom complete with shower stall, vanity and Vacuflush toilet.
Like her big sister, the 3000 Offshore’s main focus was on outdoor living. The helm deck provided plenty of seating for guests around a dinette table on the port side, opposite the helm to starboard. A wet bar immediately behind the helm seat included a sink with mixer tap, drainer, under-bench fridge and storage.
The helm deck could be raised on an hydraulic ram to provide access to the engine room and its Volvo Penta diesel engines (rated at 260 hp).
Powerboat magazine’s reviewer said: “The 3000 did everything that was asked of her and proved she’s a stylish performer”.
Trade-A-Boat’s reviewer described her as “a playful sports cruiser high on pleasure, big on space, true to form with perky performance and pizzazz”.
