This smart technology works by providing an overview of vessel, engines, and route information by using Bluetooth to link this information to a smartphone or tablet. From anywhere within range of the helm, it offers an extensive array of at-a-glance live boat and engine data including the fuel level, fuel consumption, fresh water tank levels, depth, speed, direction, and coolant temperature. Trip information includes the ability to monitor the current position and review detailed charts thanks to the seamless integration with Navionics. All the trip data from previous trips is accessible too and, at the touch of a button, can be shared with friends who have the same app.

Perhaps the feature of most value to an owner, is the ability to send selected vessel and engine information to a Riviera dealer in a single email. When it comes to a fault diagnosis, this is very advantageous. The Easy Connect app automatically generates the email with equipment serial numbers, chassis numbers, and status information about all the equipment on board, including live software and hardware information. Having all this data at hand instantly makes diagnosing a fault and its solution easier than ever before. What may have previously required an extended conversation and explanation, and possibly multiple engine room visits, is now managed via one email sent directly from the app. For those Riviera owners who don’t consider themselves technically minded, this technology offers another level of peace of mind and an excellent means by which you can better understand the operating systems of your yacht, further building confidence and knowledge.

COMPATIBILITY
The system operates with a small hardware component that is installed below the dash in the electronic vessel control system. A connection is then made via Bluetooth to the Easy Connect app on a smartphone or tablet. It’s that simple. And like all the technology aboard a Riviera, Easy Connect has been selected for its ability to communicate with other equipment aboard. It talks to the CZone electrical system, which in turn connects to Siren Marine so that even remotely, wherever an owner is, they can monitor their Riviera, or have their dealer, service technician or captain do this for them, accessing the data last reported when the ignition was turned on. Whether a yacht is under the command of a delivery skipper, family or friends, an owner can have remote operational oversight of their Riviera.
