1985 - RIVIERA 52

The first impression of the Riviera 52 launched in 1985 was the massive foredeck that included five deck hatches! This model also introduced the new aesthetic of an aft-raked windscreen on the flybridge.

With so much length and beam, the 52 offered more of everything: more space in each cabin, more cabins including a queen double forward with ensuite bathroom – including an electric flush toilet – a second fully equipped bathroom, large, well-equipped U-shape galley and a saloon area that was expansive enough to include a large dinette with U-shape seating around a timber table and two lounge chairs opposite.

The flybridge, too, was voluminous with space for twin helm seats, plenty of seating forward for guests and a large hardtop.

Power for this long-distance cruiser came from twin GM diesel engines delivering options of 550 hp or 650 hp through shaft drives.

The Riviera 52 remained in production for eight years.
