A Proud Heritage
Riviera has a proud heritage of launching over 6,000 yachts in more than 44 years of operation.
Take in a peerless view from the top, fishing or blue-water cruising, in a classic Riviera flybridge design offering you fine ‘easy living’ lifestyle, over three levels.
It’s hard to say which aspect of the Riviera 43 Open Flybridge you’ll enjoy most … its capacity for superb entertaining, or great blue-water fishing? Almost certainly the answer will be “both”. Friends and family will revel in the spacious, well designed cockpit (with its ‘stair ladder’ to the flybridge), luxurious saloon, indeed every part of life onboard.
Luxury on a whole other level, class leading for a yacht of this size. Handcrafted, well considered, always welcoming. You’ll love retreating to the accommodation deck boasting your master stateroom and designer ensuite, located forward. Love treating your family and friends also to the full-beam guest stateroom aft, with its VIP ensuite doubling as the day head.
World-leading onboard technology makes the 43 Open Flybridge supremely easy to operate and skipper – for novices and experienced hands alike. You’ll have silky-smooth Volvo Inboard Performance System (IPS) to power you, Volvo Penta Glass Cockpit Navigation and multi-function display screens to guide you and fingertip-easy, joystick manoeuvrability. Simply brilliant.
Can be optioned with a hydraulic lifter to allow the launch and retrieval of a jet ski or small tender. Can become a beach when partly submerged for water sports or swimming.
Lift up the transom door bridge, open the door out to sit parallel to the transom to provide easy access on the starboard side and instantly extend the cockpit living space.
Offering great lifestyle opportunities. Introduce occasional furniture, entertain many guests or accommodate your favourite keen anglers.
A popular haven in all weather. With protection from the flybridge and rear awning, the opulent lounge has storage drawers beneath.
Considerable storage capacity in both the transom storage unit, in the cockpit floor and side coamings.
A large volume storage bin is located in the centre of the transom. This can be optioned to become a live bait tank.
This replaces the transom storage bin. Interchangeable plates for grilling or sizzling, sink, bench space, stainless steel splash back, all protected by a finely crafted, moulded lid.
A gas strut assisted hatch just aft of the saloon door lifts to provide easy access to the engine room for routine inspections.
Perfect service access. At the press of a button, the cockpit floor raises on an electric actuator to reveal the entire machinery space.
Confident passage to the foredeck is courtesy of wide side decks, raised toe-kick rail, high side and bow rails.
You can carry your tender here and option a davit for launching and retrieval. Alternatively, a sun pad can be optioned transforming the foredeck into another onboard entertaining zone.
Transform the cockpit and saloon into one unified entertaining space. Slide back the glass door and open the large awning window. Both framed in mirror polished 316 grade stainless steel.
The Riviera stair ladder is easy and a pleasure to ascend. The stylish floating handcrafted teak treads are wide and deep.
A very sociable design. The bright and airy and open flybridge features a double-moulded hardtop with stainless steel supports, and clear strata glass with four zippered openings.
A very commanding console with twin helm chairs is located to starboard. Brilliant visibility. The latest in navigation and communication systems are at your fingertips.
On the starboard side forward of the helm is the L-shaped all-weather lounge with self-draining lockers beneath. A moulded table with integrated drink holders lowers to create a large daybed.
Take in all the conversation or the spectacular flybridge views whilst underway or at anchor from the plush lounge to port.
Opposite the helm you will discover a central cabinet with solid surface bench top, drink holders, sink, rubbish bin and storage.
For sure-footed movement, there are multiple hand rails located at the top of the staircase, on the hardtop around the helm, forward and either side at the front of the flybridge.
At the top of the flybridge stair ladder there is a solid fibreglass hatch that can be closed when underway or locked when the yacht is left unattended.
Located centrally to the outdoor and indoor living spaces. Generous counter space and storage, fully equipped with oven, cooktop, exhaust fan, drawer refrigeration and freezer.
Adding to the social aspect of the galley, for food preparation, meals for two or cocktails with friends, you will discover a bar with two stools forward of the galley.
Sweeping tinted glass windows surround you. Wondrous level of appointments. Deeply cushioned lounge with richly polished table that lowers to create an additional berth.
Celebratory drinks are easily catered for with dedicated glassware and bottle storage and refrigeration all beautifully housed in fine cabinetry forward of the galley.
Following the centreline of the saloon and recessed into the headliner is an overhead grab rail that assists forward or aft movement.
Located forward, this stateroom is wonderfully welcoming and restorative. Queen-sized island bed with innerspring mattress, storage beneath, bedside tables, drawers and cedar-lined robes.
Refined and so tastefully detailed – vanity, mirrors, bench tops, lighting and glass shower recess all beautifully meld to create a luxurious environment.
Your guests will appreciate the full-beam stateroom. Three adult-sized single beds. The port side beds slide together to create a queen. Hull windows and port lights are on both sides.
Perfectly concealed from view by handcrafted cabinetry in the guest starboard stateroom, you will discover a combination washer/dryer unit.

MULTITASKING
From the minute you step onto the huge boarding platform, through the transom door with its lift-up bridge and into the cockpit you can’t help but be impressed … The unified flow from the transom to the forward windscreen is obvious and it works so well

RIVIERA'S 43 OPEN FLYBRIDGE OFF THE CHARTS!
She gets onto plane almost immediately with virtually no use of the trim tabs. Cornering is tight and sure and she has a very smooth, soft ride even at pace. Even in huge swells she lifts gradually and gently settles into the troughs. She is a fabulous combination of luxury and practicality

RIVIERA'S 43 OPEN FLYBRIDGE
Given the 43 Open's fuel capacity of 1800 litres with a 20 percent reserve, the new cruiser can comfortably deliver between 350 and 500 nautical mile range, depending on speed. The 43 Open Flybridge tips the tape at 47 feet 5 inches and a 15 foot beam makes it a big volume cruiser for its…

Traditional Toughness and Sophisticated Engineering combined
This Riviera 43 Open Flybridge, while not forgetting the traditional toughness demanded by serious sportfisherman, is a very sophisticated and well-engineered cruiser. The interior layout, including the expansive mid-cabin, is very clever, and the fit and finish throughout is as good as on any yacht in the market segment. Visibility is excellent, and there’s plenty…

Open for Excitement!
Rivera's new 43 Open Flybridge makes an excellent cruising/family boat and, as Warren Steptoe excitedly discovered, when ordered with 'fishing' styling, it makes a first-class gameboat, too. With a design maximising the benefits of Volvo's sensational IPS drives, this is a very proud addition to the substantial Riviera stable.
- Warren Steptoe
Innovation and technology at work
With an impressive array of latest technology and an innovative approach to internal design fitout, the ten's of thousands of man hours involved in the development of this new generation cruiser will surely pay dividends.
- Peter Scott
Open Plan
This was a boat designed by a team who know and understand boating in the 21st century. Every change, every feature, was practical as well as user-friendly - for all the family. What more could you ask then, of a 14.46-metre flybridge cruiser with all the toys.
- Barry Tyler
Flying Start
Step aboard and you'll discover a truly revolutionary cruiser configured to carry Riviera's steady-as-she-goes offshore flybridge range into the future. Externally she's a modernised Riv, but internally she's something even more refreshing and, yes, inspiring.
- David Lockwood
A new era of openness
The 43 Open Flybridge has the distinct lines of a Riviera, but inside the design approach is very different to the Rivieras most people come to know. It is a totally new design and, with the simplicity of its operation, the vessel appears to be the ideal all-rounder.
